I am going to this game and I will be working in the consession stand for my sons school. The question is, what time will the game start? I know it is home coming so, are these games normally during the day or at night. I hope it is around 14:00hrs, for I will have to be there four hours in advance.

Homecoming is generally a PM game. Most of them are pay-per-view with a 18:00 hour kickoff. Last year South Carolina was the home coming, and I think it was an 18:45 hour kickoff (very cold at that game). Haven't seen the slate of games for that day, but with Ole Miss' lack of competitiveness this season, I doubt they'll be good enough to pick up the 11:30 slot. I'm gonna say an evening game.

Argo,

I think with the new SEC tv contract with ESPN, each school is only allowed one ppv game per year. San Jose St. was it. If that is indeed the case, then the game will most likely be the 11:30.

I can't remember a homecoming game being late. I know with PPV that the school has all the control over "time" and that they do the early in the year games at night due to heat.

Just looked at the SEC schedule. Auburn/Arkansas-- Florida/MSU--USCjr/UK--UGA/Vandy are the SEC match ups for that week. Ole Piss is sucking hind tit right now and I seriously doubt we make it for a CBS kick-off.

Hmm. Maybe that's right. I just remember the South Carolina game last year being a night game. It was the first home coming game I've attended, so I'm certain you're more familiar with this topic.

Games on October 16.

Bama vs Ole Miss
Auburn vs Arkansas
Florida vs Miss State
South Carolina vs Kentucky
Vandy vs Georgia
LSU vs McNeese State

I'm going out on a limb and saying that Auburn vs Arkansas will be the 2:30 CBS game. After that, who knows? LSU will be pay-per-view. So ESPN will get the 6:45 game. SEC Network will get 2 at 11:30? And ESPNU should get one at 6pm.

And with Ole Miss playing Fresno State and Kentucky leading up to the Bama game, I can't see Alabama vs a 1-4 Ole Miss team being better than any of the other matchups, but who knows.

I remember the SC game being a night game, but I forgot it was HC. Did it start at 2:30? Here in a couple of weeks the when time changes it will be dark before all of the 2:30 games are over. Was that the case last year?

I remember being at the game, but for the life of me can not remember the start of that game.

It was the ESPN 6:45pm game.

Hey, Yellowhammer, I noticed a group from Hamilton (band, maybe?) was working concessions in my section (U4-GG) for the Penn State game. Will you be up there?

RTR,

Tim

Ole Miss may turn it around, and if so, that might have an effect on what time slot. Right now, they are so buried in mediocrity. But you know Houston Nutt......he won't coach a lick until it comes Alabama time. Everyone we play has us circled on the calendar.
