⚾ 🥎 Ole Miss softball love triangle leads to Title IV investigation

@It Takes Eleven I ran across the report this morning in the Daily Mail. The last paragraph we see in the UK, no mention of it state side so far. I thought it was an odd way to end a report on something across the pond.

A letter sent to Athletic Director Keith Carter on July 29, which was obtained by Running Poles, accuses head coach Jamie Trachsel of 'covering up a sexual misconduct scandal involving two super seniors and a female assistant coach.'
The complaints allege that Trachsel 'created and embraced a mentally toxic culture.'
This is not the first time the head coach has heard this accusation. Along with her decade long career coaching softball, Trachsel allegedly has a history of abusive behavior.
All 13 people who confirmed the Title IX investigation said the coaching staff attempted to influence their votes during the 2020 presidential election.

How does a program properly vet a coach and not know she’s under close scrutiny and restrictions at her current job?

This is the Myers/auburn situation all over again. Their issues at Arizona State were known, but they won games, so a gamble was made and fingers were crossed. It bit auburn (sort of?) in the end. They had to cut ties after the behavior continued, but not before the Myers built the program into a contender. Now, the fall from the top was pretty quick for their program, but they almost got a WCWS win out of it, so to them, it was all worth it.

The end that competes with bama is what is important
