A favorite at our family get togethers. Really good with steak or burgers.

1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons molasses
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon salt
16-ounce can kidney beans
16-ounce can butter beans
26-ounce can pork and beans

PREPARATION
Heat oven to 350 F. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, bacon and onion until bacon is done and beef is browned. Drain. Combine mixture with all other ingredients and pour into a greased 13-by-9-inch pan. Bake 1 hour.

That's in the same neighborhood as Roosevelt Lodge Baked Beans... We cook them probably twice a year... usually on the 4th for sure as a side. We add pork sausage and on some occasions conecuh. Usually leave out the brown sugar and add more mustard, and cook on the smoker or in the oven.
