🏈 OJ seems uncoverable

I have just noticed this year and after reviewing tape that whenever they want to get OJ open, he pretty much is. During the last game we saw how important that was. I expect to see him be a big factor in the LSU game especially since we can play off the two TE set into play action to him. (preferably on roll outs since Jake seems to throw better on the run than at any other time)

I could see him faking blocks and catching a couple in the red zone, too.

the passing game, to me, seems to be taking shape. Stewart is catching passes and the ball is getting spread around a hair better. If we get back to the RB screen game a bit against LSU and maybe Jake starts hitting the target a little better, their could be a lot of points on the board in this game against the Bayou Corn Dogs.

These underthrown sideline balls could come back to bite us against a good secondary.

Three players had 6 catches or more against Tennessee, Id say thats pretty nice. Id like to see them move OJ around more though.

OJ is currently 3rd in receptions behind Ridley and Stewart.

If we can just keep the penalties to a min & play calls for short downs & distance, we'll be fine. I think our WR & TE have been more open than not but due to the predictable long down & distance the D's just pin their ears back & bet that we will not be able to block all blitzes.

This was the success of UT's sacks. That's it. They blitzed on obvious passing downs & we didn't always make the block.

Whenever they want OJ open? I think they always want OJ open along with everybody else. Remember that there is a primary, secondary and tertiary receiver that Coker checks on passing plays. I don't know how many times OJ has been the primary receiver, but I'm happy he's been catching them. His problem last year was he waited on the ball and didn't reach for it (remember the Ole Miss game last year?). He's been better this year, but hasn't had to fight for the ball.
