🏈 Ohio State to create new office

Ohio State University trustees have approved the creation of a new office responsible for monitoring compliance with rules and regulations in the wake of its football program's NCAA infractions scandal

I'd have to look for the report I first read about this ship. Here's a cursory understanding of what they are doing.

They've always had a compliance office and still will. In the past, those offices were under the purview of each individual athletic department and each program had their own compliance team.

The new office is going to be separate from all their athletic departments. This new office is going to be the "oversight committee," as it were, for all the other compliances offices—which will remain operational.

Notice the way this was worded.

University Chief Financial Officer Geoff Chatas says a university-wide compliance office would help provide consistency among the university's department-level compliance teams...

Lipstick on an ugly pig. That's about it.
