Damn if I have to keep checking myself for getting excited watching Bruce Pearl’s team with their 110% relentless effort on not only offense, but defense too. Currently running Kansas right out of the gym.

Hated to see Murray St. exit but thought coming in that FSU had the athletes to dominate them.

Near impossible to guard that bunch in the open court. But when Kansas couldn't get back in transition and the barners knew it, it was a feeding frenzy. You have to give Pearl credit for this team's makeup. They have taken small ball to the limits of small and still taken out some of the elite teams. I figured when they ran over and through Tennessee, in the tourney they might crank it up in the playoffs. If they happen to play NC in the next round and win, look out. Barkley was out of his mind last night with his silly homerism, but it was still nice to watch Bill Self crash and burn one more time.

Auburn had an "on" night. They could just as easily show up and score 40 points. I have them losing to Carolina, but had them beating Kansas. Glad they shot well. I need them to have an off night.

Probably the best "on" night they had all year. They are sitting at 28 wins for the season and they have had a tough draw. They will be in overdrive the rest of the tourney. They won't be an easy out.

I hate to say it but I was so jealous when they got Pearl . I knew right then this was coming and even though I knew where they were headed , I was firmly buckled up thinking that MAYBE just MAYBE Avery could do somewhat the same and have a small recruiting advantage having come from the NBA and having some dealings with the AAU .

But here I sit un-buckled ( defeated ) , having to watch the barn school Kansas on both sides of the ball . Wondering how far does the firing set us back and Auburn’s success multiply that backwards movement.

I agree with that. They looked like a Final Four team. Auburn vs Carolina is going to be one fast paced game boy.

If they beat Washington. Just saying, if the Huskies upset the Tar Heels I think that would be the barners greatest gift of the tourney. Otherwise, NC might be a very tough matchup.

Looks like Texas A&M is going to have to wait it out if they are genuinely interested in Buzz "Curly Howard" Williams. VaTech just bested Liberty to get to the sweet 16.

And Duke must be living right.
