🏀 ***OFFICIAL Bama v. Oregon In-game Thread***

Refuse to give our guys the hustle award here. We showed we can be great for a half, and then we just got sloppy coming out of the hakf. Superior talent? Well we schooled their talent and stopped them for a half and then gave them the game in the 2nd. Oregon didn't earn the victory, it was handed to them. I think this team is very improved and will figure it out, but I am disappointed we lost, played awful in the second half, and only lost by 4.

Oregon shot 56% from the field in the 2nd half. Yes, Alabama did give it away, but compare our roster to theirs. Their talent is in tact, where as ours is limited due to inexperience, injuries, and not nearly enough players that can be relied on. Despite Taylor's resergence, he still isn't a guy we can fully rely on to score consistently in the paint.

Considering the circumstances, this isn't bad. Our bench contributed well. Norris finally is hitting the 3, and Hall and Austin are playing well. CAJ has had to changer up his offense from 4 G to one C, to know two post players, 3 G's. Even with that line up, we pushed up court well and scored a lot of points in transition vs their 1-2 man press.

I feel a lot more comfortable going into SEC play, especially if we get Hale back.

Well I agree that we're in better position than we've been in for years, but I still refuse to accept a moral victory. We gave them the game, it wasn't the talent gap. It was bad passes and mistakes like that that cost us. We gave up the halftime lead in like four minutes in the second half due to mistakes, but then worked back towards a four point loss. Talent wasn't the issue, shooting ourselves in the foot was. That being said, I'm still proud of the future of this team and I honestly believe we can make the tournament and push a little. Avery has made the kind of immediate impact I thought he would. Gotta love a coach that goes after the fans and wants us to be there and that's willing to give us credit after the fact. He's a player's coach and that will undoubtedly reverberate through the fans and make the future in Tuscaloosa for basketball look great.

Glad handing Family Circle Cup people last night. Fun group
Yeah, mine was just a small company party, about 30 folks there. Wife and I were having fun till they closed they company tab when the big boss left and we had to start buying our drinks. It was in the reception hall above GloryBound Gyros. We were like "shit, if we gotta buy our own drinks now, let's at least go play some pool". So Wife and I went to the dive we met at a couple years ago, sang some karaoke, and played pool. Lol.
