I couldn't find the tent...was easy to find Roach and the gang...but even I was not waiting in that line. I watch the captains put there hands in, but had my son...we had on red, everyone had on red...it was just to hard to move and look without having to make sure he was right there...sorry I missed ya.
At least my son got to see PBB museum for the first time.

I was also a different atmosphere this year...in a good way.

i wasnt intending on going today, but got up this morning and me and my wife headed for t-town. we had a great time today. the team looked good and i am very excited about the future. roll tide

McElroy back in the game.

too many drops today, waaaaay too many.
That's OK. Julio will catch them.

i heard he and DJ were at the game together (actually i saw a picture but w/e).

and i got a feeling we're pretty much taken care of in the red zone with the jump ball, Earl Alexander on one side and Julio Jones on the other. that should be pretty much sewed up.

Did anybody besides me get a feeling of déjà vu Saturday when JPW threw incomplete on his first pass and threw the ball away on the next two downs? It got better as the game went on, but on that first series, I thought, "Now where have I seen that before?"

But, he came back from that opening series to lead his team to the win, so . . . :D

Seems to be more rhythm to the o after they got going. Do not think we will have the O standing waiting for the next play to be called... yeah I was thinking the same thing about JPW lol

I was amazed at the similarities in the stats.

First downs: 15 to 16
Net Yds Rushing : 42 to 41
Net Yds Passing: 306 to 298
Avg. per attempt: 7.7 to 7.3
Avg. per completion: 15.3 to 15.7
Total offense: 348 to 339
Avg. gain per play: 5.5 to 5.7

Amazingly close.

Yeah. Me and my dad thought that looked very familiar. Dad brought up a good point though that made since and I wanted to get everyone's opinion on. Even though they threw the ball a little more, I thought it looked like the same old offense from last year. JP had to throw the ball away quiet a few times as usual. But dad said he didn't think they were showing us what we're really going to see in the fall. Saban has closed practices to the media so nobody is getting to see how they're doing. Maybe they're working on a deadly playbook and he didn't want to show it at A-Day. When we played GA, their practice was closed that whole week. Look who won. Don't get me wrong, the guys made some real good plays saturday but it just wasn't really an exciting game like last year. It was kinda like they were just out there having fun. I don't remember half the crowd leaving at halftime in '07. I mean, if Saban's gonna have closed practices all spring, why would he show everything at A-Day?

Saban said before the game you wouldnt see anything new. it was the same offense as last year, we wont see any new stuff until the first game probably.
