🏈 Official 2014 NFL Draft Thread

He never said he was going in the first, just said that is what he was hearing. The one interview I can't seem to find, was last week around the race I believe he comes off more confident in the first round than the link below. I just think he should have just kept the first round thing to himself. He should have been in Mobile for the Senior Bowl, missed opportunity for him.

From Finebaum show recently.
"They felt like I could go anywhere from 16-35," McCarron said. "I believe that, too. At the same time, I don't have my hopes set on anything. Whatever happens, happens. It's a blessing for me to even be in this situation." The Cowboys own the No. 16 pick. McCarron added that "pretty much everyone so far," in the NFL has told him he's been given a first-round grade. We won't call McCarron a liar, but we've mostly read early Day 3 grades. It wouldn't surprise if he went in the second round, but a Round 1 selection would be a shock. Todd McShay's head would explode on live television if the Cowboys took McCarron at No. 16.

He wasn't on anyone's board that high. He and his agent have bascailly teamed up and devised, "The Best Way To Make Sure Your NFL Draft Stock Falls From The Minute You Leave Campus - A Comprehensive Plan."

And I swear to 8 lb. 4 oz. baby Jesus, if he starts bitching about being disrespected and having chips on his shoulder when he is finally selected, I may throw the coffee table through the wall.

I dang near guarantee he's going to pull the chip on his shoulder thing. He's been acting like a pechulant child since he left UA...or maybe he's always been like this and it's just coming out now because he isn't with Saban? I don't know, but since he left UA he's been almost nauseatingly whiny about his stock and what not.
I think a very tight rope on all his players. Like most kids once their leave the family. Some just go wild ,because no one can tell them what to do.:-) I hope him the best, no matter which team pick him.

He's been like that the entire time, he's just out on his own now and not filtered.

I dont understand how being confident about his own ability and not being thrilled about constantly being overlooked, which has happened over and over and over with AJ, is "whiny" or being "a petulant child". Why is it not okay for AJ to be confident and feel like he is being overlooked and having a chip of my shoulder? For some reason our fanbase seems to be easy to start throwing certain players under the bus.

He creates his own controversies in order to create his on shoulder chips. That is extremely annoying. Plus, one other issue he has had while at UA, which I'll keep to myself. I've just got no use for the guy. Glad he helped us win a couple of championships, but I'm glad he's moving on too. Maybe he'll end up somewhere like NO and mature behind a veteran QB, but I have my doubts.

"Glad hes moving on too" one of the most unbelievable things I've ever heard. Im not gonna keep harping on this, apparently you have reasons to dislike a guy that did nothing but win and win championships... (of course we'll never know because you give the ridiculous cryptic "another issue that I heard that I cant say out loud")... and some ppl NEED to create their own motivation. I'm glad you're happy the most winningest QB and record setting QB we've ever had, lets hope you're not eating your words and wishing we still had him come September...

Kevin Norwood selected by the Seahawks.

Do these same people need to throw people under the bus? The guy 10 minutes after leaving school started running his money maker about younger dudes on the team then he's non-stopped whined about people holding winning against him which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Then he tells people NFL teams have him graded as a first round pick which is obviously b.s.

Create their own motivation by acting like a pechulant child? He's been a crybaby throughout this draft process. He doesn't attend the senior bowl which could've helped him, but then he starts with his "people are holding the winning against me".
