^^ You mean DROY (Defensive Rookie of the Year) I'm assuming? I would agree, great chance. He and Upshaw are a different type of player tho and Upsahw is asked to do more of the "dirty work" in that defense which is why Harbough and company were praising because he does it and not only never complains but seems to enjoy it. Would be cool for Lacy to win OROY in 2013 and then Mosley to get DROY the next year. HaHa is gonna have a harder time because the Packers defense is just plain bad.

Yes sir that's what I meant I just can't type. I love Upshaw!! If those two play together like they did at UA combined with the rest of that defense it's going to be a stout defense.

The times I've been able to watch the Ravens play he's always seemed to really enjoy his job. But, I imagine playing for that organization would be one of the better ones to play for.

Yeah, I agree I think HaHa is going to have a tough time because of their defense being so bad, but I could be surprised because I thought Lacy would go through the same kind of thing as Ingram in NOLA, but shows what I know.

I know he's going to be a backup and all, but how do you see AJ doing? Better than Greg? Do we have any QBs in the NFL other than AJ?

This is one of many caught my eye today.

Impressive draft by St Louis and Jacksonville. Really loved Reggie McKenzie's draft though. Addressed all the positions we needed, then added Texas WR Mike Davis as an UDFA.

Off-topic, I have absolutely no problems with gays, in fact, I support gay marriage; however, I'm getting tired of the media talking about Michael Sam kissing hif bf and what he's going to be like. Its that I don't like hearing about what he's going to do, its just the fact that they're talking about him 24/7 and not talking about anything else. Just have one segment for him and let that be it.

Ha-Ha going to the Packers made me happy. They are in dire need of a play maker besides Mathews. Have Mathews cause havoc up front, it'll result in less time for the QB and have him have to make quicker decisions. Ha-Ha will eat those up. Plus 'Bama players do well in GB. Peprah had a nice career, Bart Starr, and of course, Eddie Lacy.

I don't know if you guys caught it, but one site (BroBible.com) reported and posted the alleged New England scouting report on Manziel.

Consider this evaluation as compared to how Manziel is saying he's preparing:

• Doesn’t study the game, said to know about 60% of the offense in ’12, never watches film; one source said only time he watched film during ’12 was before ALUN.

On the tweet numbers:

I heard Van Pelt talking about how the ratings/TV numbers were so much higher as well. People do love a good train wreck and I'd bet as many were interested in watching him fall/fail as any other reason.

A lot of college players thought the same thing, until that first hit. Look at all those great QB's from college, where are these guys now. Sitting home on Sunday watching what their couldn't do.

I can't help but wonder why ESPN employs Mel Kipper...he had 4 picks right in the 1st round, 4 of 32 = 12.5%.

He needs to find a new job. Just one of the many reasons I don't listen to the guy.

How many guys did Kiper say were going in the first round that actually went in the first round. IMO, that's his "saving grace," as it were...

I saw where Sams got a call from Obama. If we're not supposed to care what a player's sexual orientation is, why is the Prez and the media making so much over it?

By the way, living 80 miles from the Big Easy, I was glad the Saints chose Vinnie Sunseri. He's been one of my favorites throughout his career at Alabama.

The two big stories this afternoon were Sams and Texas not having anyone drafted. The second item is confirmation that it was time for Mack to go. Sams is a "tweener" with less than outstanding vertical, 40 and long jump. The interesting part will be when camps begin and the cuts start coming. If Sams is cut, will all the usual suspects be whining and demonstrating?

For some reason PJ I don't think he will be cut. Right now he getting more press than any US Solider has every got. You see what happen when the Dolphins player said something about the kiss.
Also the last time Texas didn't have any players drafted was 1938.

Which is fine and we all appreciate what soldiers do... at the same time, I dont think any soldier gets into the military cause they want to see their name/face in the media. So of course we're going to see athletes in the media more, media is about entertainment.

I am really entertained by the Sam affair. Everyone is saying the media is blowing it up, but who are the ones who keep talking about it over and over and over? The media just feeds the beast. Vicious cycle.

So he's gay. Move along and wait for the next big story ESPN spoon-feeds us. Why are we so accepting when it comes to criminals, guys with bad attitudes, etc. in the NFL but not OK with a guy being open about who he loves? Guys can be open about what god they believe in, what politician they follow, players they love/hate, personal opinions on everything, etc. .. Love is just another layer of who a person is.

Now that one person has got the ball rolling on the discussion, it won't BE so newsworthy anymore, because eventually it WILL be accepted (whether the haters like it or not). Right now, it's still not embraced (as evidenced by public outcry: idiots boycotting the NFL .. really? HE HASN'T EVEN MADE THE FINAL ROSTER hahah), but hopefully more gay players feel comfortable enough with who they are to pursue their dreams in sports.

For real .. I don't give a damn who you sleep with, who you vote for, what religion you are or aren't, where you are from, what you look like, whatever .. If you are a good person and play your heart out on the field, you have my respect. Unless you play for the Cowboys, Giants, or Redskins

@PhillyGirl For me, entertained is too strong of a word. Intrigued? Maybe? Fascination doesn't fit either.

All of this does show a fundamental flaw in arguments. You have one side asking for acceptance and a lot say, "OK, it's your life." But that same side is also asking for agreement under the guise of acceptance. Those are two entirely separate issues.

To me, it's a sad statement to see people who voice their disapproval labeled bigots. Those calling labeling, and placing them in the category of bigotry are actually practicing the same.

Oh for sure, as with any hot issue, you've got sides pointing fingers at each other and name-calling and being hypocrites and blah blah blah. See: it's OK for Sam to be a vocal homosexual but not for Tebow to be a vocal Christian. It's OK for Tebow to be a vocal Christian, but not for Sam to be a vocal homosexual. At the end of the day for me, it's all the same noise :blahblah:

Honestly, I am in the camp of: I may not agree with who you are, but I still accept you. I may not like Nickelback, but if you do, that's great, I wish you well haha :2thumbs: If you vote for the guy I hate, that's great, I respect your (hopefully) informed opinion and hope it works out. If you are a man who loves men, that's great, I pray you have a mutually satisfying and happy relationship. If you are a Muslim or Sikh or Christian or Jew or whatever, that's great, I hope your spiritual life is fulfilling. We don't have to AGREE with everybody's beliefs, sexuality, nationality, culture, lifestyle, etc. .. but can't we all just try to get along and accept our differences? ukePUKE) but seriously, folks.
