🏈 OFFENSE-What will it take/what can be done?

Damn....some of you Nancies seem to have forgotten Hurts was actually a Heisman contender a few short weeks ago. Sack up people. He's a hell of an athlete who had a bad day.

As for Clemson, yes, they looked really good. What would the score have been had Alabama played Ohio State? They didn't score on Clemson, so I feel very confident saying they sure as hell wouldn't have scored on Bama. I also feel confident we would've hung more than 31 on their sorry-ass defense.

We're good. Trust in Nick.

If NCS could kick a 30-yard field goal they win @Clemson. The Tigers got beat by Pittsburgh running up and down the field all day and turning Watson over on key throws. By the way that happened in their 11th game of the season, at home, again.

Thanks for this. I was feeling no pain when I started this thread and was the frustration of our offensive (sans Bo) followed by Clemson's beat down of CUM and the suckeyes put me in panic mode. That being said, 7-14 for 57 yards passing will make it tough to win and this defense deserves 15-0.

Kiffin just didn't want to throw into the teeth of the Huskie D. They told Jalen, if we don't turn it over, we win. I remember G-Mac's throwing masterpiece against Texas wasn't much more than this and we put up 37 points. Even the real nice strike Jalen threw went for naught when the refs said our TE was covered up, really? Our guy was 2 or 3 yards behind the LOS.

Does he look like he is on the LOS at the pre-snap?

And again when the flag was thrown.

Those silly B1G refs.

You got your circles wrong lol that first picture you circled is Dieter (#11) and the second is Foristall (#84). The flag was thrown on Foristall who was lined up in the backfield on that play. There was seven guys on the line, so still dont what the hell the flag was for.

Yes, I was trying to draw attention to the pre-snap formation.

This was on the opening drive of the second half. After Jalen's long run, and a couple of other runs.

The penalty was on Foristall. He was lined up left, and went into motion to the right before the snap. He was 3 yards behind the line when the ball was snapped, and was still 3 yards behind the line (looking for someone to block) when the ball was thrown.

The call was horrible and negated a very nice throw by Jalen and killed a good drive by the offense.

Stewart was covered and went downfield on the snap, 87 Foristall was lined up in the backfield as H back, and never crossed the los. But, while they blew the who was where, Stewart was on the line, and Dieter signaled him to back up, Sims 17 was on the line on the right sideline and was covering Stewart.

Hurts needs about 5 pass plays with 2 possible targets each and that's it. let him practice that for about he whole week. also, cut out some of the read option plays as he struggles with when to hand off. I like him on the sweep type play and the quickER up the middle runs... the delayed crap needs to go. we have too many great RBS for JH to be running on so many snaps.

Jmo

MVP was JK Scott

I'm feeling better about this game now. We have to get off the field on 3rd downs we have less depth on defense this year and you saw what happened last year. And missing both Eddie and Shawn Dion. Maybe Pruitt will do a better job than Kirby did last year.

Here are a few reminders about some success teams enjoyed against Clemson.

Troy - 141
Louisville - 273
Boston College - 155
NCS - 128
FSU - 163
Pittsburgh - 156

To come out and establish the running game should be plenty good enough for our offense to set the table.
