That was truly a classic game. If only David McMakin had been a step quicker getting over there would have been a different ending. Nonetheless a gutsy call by Parsegian.

At that point Bama was in the midst of 8 straight bowl games without a win, a streak that ended with the 1975 team beating Penn State 13-6.

I remember watching the game. It was nerve racking to say the least. I liked the tidbits about Webers facemask and shoulder pads. Made the catch that much more difficult. Ara's call was definitley gutsy considering they barely threw the ball in that game. He took a lot of heat for playing conservative against MSU in the '66 Game of the Century against MSU. I hope this is a classic as well.
