šŸˆ NSFW: Special Moses and Kiffin LSU Meltdown Thread

LSU has plenty of good players. They are missing a QB and some better coaching. The same could be said about the last 3-4 teams they have fielded.

I don't see the need for panic, but it is true a I have stated before... their program has been in a state of decline for 5 + years.

Hee-Haw is going to have them in NCAA sanctions in under three years, thats what they need to worry about.

Coach O's obsessing in tigerland is spreading quickly:

Fresh off signing a contract to become LSU’s new offensive coordinator, Matt Canada is already taking the opportunity to throw some shade at the Tigers’ biggest rival within the SEC West.
Canada was appointed as the man in charge of LSU’s offensive scheme by head coach Ed Orgeron. Canada will be coming from Pitt — where the Panthers were averaging over 40 points per contest.
Orgeron is hoping Canada’s diverse offense can be a hit down in Baton Rouge.
During his introductory press conference, Canada had this to say about rival Alabama:

ā€œI’m 1-0 vs Alabama. We beat them at NIU.ā€
Canada coached at Northern Illinois from 1998-2003 — and then again for one season in 2011. In 2003, NIU went into Tuscaloosa and beat the Crimson Tide by a score of 19-16.
It would be apropos to point out that Nick Saban was not the coach of Alabama during this contest. Canada may be 1-0 against Alabama, but he isn’t undefeated against Saban.

Matt Canada his porn name too?

Grading coaching hires, from A+ (Kiffin) to D (Orgeron)

Ed Orgeron, LSU
Grade: D
Contract: 5 years, $17.5 million
He talks the talk and walks the walk of an LSU Tiger. There’s no questioning that. This is, in every way, Orgeron’s dream gig. He’s been given license to spend for his coordinators and staff; that much we know, as well.
But will this actually work? Coaches and agents remain skeptical, balancing Orgeron’s interim successes at USC and LSU vs. a 10-25 three-year flop at Ole Miss (10-25).
If he lands somewhere between the two, it’s difficult to envision him topping what Les Miles did for more than a decade.
ART SLIDESHOW

And industry sources were also left puzzled what the rush was to hire Orgeron. Was he going to bolt for another job? (Heck no). When Herman and Jimbo Fisher were no longer part of the picture, it was a kneejerk to a fallback. The hire does not feel to some like the path to success. It’s on Coach O to prove those doubters wrong.
