🏈 Now the Texas fans are fretting about rumors on the Internet/Twitter...

30k females on campus, yeah I see no potential for trouble, not to mention the whole 6th Street scene - love me some Austin, TX.

Most of the Texas fans probably want a clean out, I can understand what DeLoss has been trying to tell them, just because you replace Mack with someone doesn't mean its gonna be a homerun hire.

Wasn't Austin rated the best place to live? Man I would love to move down there, that place is amazing. Love the crab shack alongside the river...

In the last few years Mack has been getting pounded more than a $ 2.00 Hoo ..... well you know what I mean.
Poor guy has been getting blasted. Dude is deffinitely dug in deep though. I'll give him that.

He is one of the top 3-5 highest paid coaches, if my me org serves me right, and doesn't have much to show for it other than a 2005 (?) championship. And I guess a trip to the game in 2009... But he's had multiple medicre years when he was making some of the biggest coin out there. Not to mention he's in one of the top 2 states for producing top tier talented recruits.

This is kind of a no win situation. UT fans remind me of Bama fans in the 1990's. Stallings was at UA winning and doing it ugly, however he was still winning. We were at the height of Florida's fun and gun offense and they were doing it year in and year out. UA folks wanted a change and Bockrath gave Bama what they wanted...........we all know how that turned out.

I won't go as far as RT24 and call Brown mediocre. For 11 years straight he won 10 games a year. While I agree he has not rebounded from 2009 and college football is definitely a "what have you done for me lately" sport. Fans are fickle and expect their team to be on top all the time. Change might be a good thing, but it is no guarantee. You know what you got in Brown and know that he can get it done. I bet that all of the Tennessee folks would be willing to suffer through the last 5 years with Fulmer had they known what the future held for them with a "coaching change".

Agree, I may have been a little over zealous, but I really don't like Brown. My comments were based mainly on his 16 losses the past 3 seasons while making over $5MM each of those years. All while recruiting in a state that grows football studs on trees. The two sets of alumni that live in my neighborhood think its time for a change. They thought Muschamp was their guy...

I won't argue that they are not getting their money's worth at all. I'm just hesitant to jump. After what happened to us in the 90's and Tennessee the past 5 years, makes me want to say be careful what you ask for. Texas may end up back at the John Mackovic era and sucking it up big time.
