We've seen things like the number of national championships discussed. We have had conversations about the impact coaches at both Universities have had on the collegiate football landscape. We KNOW both schools carry a lot of tradition with them when they meet in Miami in just a few weeks.

What's not discussed, or at least hasn't been as of yet, is how closely the two schools history's mirror each other on the football field outside of what I just mentioned.

These similarities shocked me as I started considering how closely linked the traditions and history of the two schools actually are.

Starting back in the early part of the last century where people actually did play football and won national championships...
