A couple of players played fantastic games on saturday and i don't want to take away from that at all, but for the sake of discussion i did want to see what you guys thought about the secondary's performance as a whole the other night.

i noticed a lot of open meechigan receivers scattered about during the game and a QB that just couldn't see them or hit them for whatever reason.

that's why i'm eager to see Bama play "pass first" teams like Arky before i get too excited about the defense.

i hope we shut em down...

It will be a different style of game. We were most interested in keeping Robinson in the pocket rather than pressuring him. When we go to Arkansas the plan will be to put lots of pressure on Tyler Wilson.

Different style when playing a mobile QB versus playing a pocket passer QB. Vinnie played more in run support so it let up on getting in coverage; On top of that it was the first week, the secondary will develop chemistry and learn from experience. Coach Saban was on them in practice about those 2 busted coverage's, they'll be fine....

Exactly. We were outright daring Denard to sit in the pocket and deliver strikes. We sold out to stop his scrambling and the running game. They were banking on the fact that Denard was never in a hundred years going to beat us with his arm.

Tyler Wilson will ask for toilet paper and glasses when he comes off the field after their second or third possession. He will need both, because at that point he will not know whether to **** or go blind.

Guess I missed all those open receivers... but from what I did see... Dee Milliner played lights out. He got beat on one play where he slipped, now you can say the double move caused him to slip (good argument) or he just slipped period. Belue got beat on a double move too, but Vinnie was late getting over to help too. HaHa played well when Lester had to come out. Lester was good until he hurt his shoulder. Fulton in coverage only caught my eye a cpl times and he was in the receivers hip pocket. Vinnie played better against the run than the pass.
