The Wildca$h come to town. Let's hope it's not too bad.

Four games remain in January, after this Saturday. We get Kensucky again in Lexington. If the Tide can win two of the other three games, Bama would sit at 14-7 entering February and .500 in SEC play.

Other than UK, I feel like any of the other league games are winnable. Just my thinking and what matters is what the team thinks (sure looks to me like they think they can win).

Interesting season and even after the disappointment last night I'm looking forward to USC playing in Coleman.

Re: Bama basketball, nothing to me has been as disappointing as scoring only 37 points in cow town against one sorry ass barner team. "Learning experience...," "playing on the road...," whatever...No excuse for it. Last night...that is not a good team at all to whom Bama lost. A lot of what I've been reading last night and today (from fans) is the same old crap about how poorly we shot the ball, horrible job with offensive rebounds, etc. Much like it was in cow town two years ago. Yes, this is an improved team since then...But this kind of loss is one that can cost Bama in Mar. It just pisses me off...

I know what you mean. The games that could have helped us, it seems we lose close. This one, USC had beaten Iowa State and some other good teams. I would bet their RPI is pretty high, but I'm too lazy to look it up. This would have been a pretty good win, probably. But yeah, I agree. Winnable. Should have won even as bad as they played.

So many places we could have won the game, starting with going 6-14 at the foul line in the first half. There was the aforementioned issues with letting SC get seemingly 500 offensive rebounds.

I will say that I did not like us burning our last timeout with eleven seconds left. I know that part of the reason was to get Coleman in for Obasahon, and ostensibly it was to get some sort of play set up. Whatever we had planned to do failed miserably on the execution. Coleman could have put up a shot rather than passing to Levi for a similar shot, and if he had done so there would have been time for a put back. It is a shame to come back to life the way we did and have a chance to win the game and then botch the last possession.

I am also not looking forward to the Kentucky game. Our defense does match up well with their attack, as we give other teams a lot of trouble with our quick hands and long arms when they drive to the basket. unfortunately our difficulties in keeping the other guys off the offensive boards will be fatal.

I'm really disappointed that we got out rebounded so badly plus we were horrible from the FT line. Back in the day those two were our strong points. I'm hoping we show up Saturday but afraid it will get ugly in T-Town.

This Saturday is at home. You never know. We can always hope.
