🏈 Not looking forward to next week or anything

I think it has simply been a strong dislike for the Barn rather than a hate. I will say that the "fear the thumb" shit rubbed me the wrong way. I have a nephew and niece that finished down there and i attended both graduation ceremonies. For the older nephew, I wore a Houndstooth tie and Crimson shirt. When my niece finished, she asked my wife to NOT let me wear anything to embarrass her or don't come. I will add that their graduations coincided with the '10 and '13 losses and those Barners made sure to use the "Camback and .01 second" in all of their graduation speeches. They just can't get that "little brother" out of them.

I seriously dislike auburn!
Here’s why
They are arrogant even when losing
Jordan hair has some voodoo
Pat Die
Scam newton
I opened the big lots there and the aubarn people are not friendly

Whole family is BAMA. It's just how we were raised. My oldest niece was an Auburn fan at one point (thanks to her dad being one), but we cured her of that nonsense. She also found out how it was when she asked my mom for an Auburn shirt or hat one year for Christmas and my mom said, "My money don't buy Auburn crap." (verbatim).

I don't own anything that's orange, either. I refuse to.

And I've known very few Auburn fans who weren't arrogant as hell or talked shit all the time about BAMA.

This story will tell you why there is no love lost for the barn and their fans. Last weekend after the Bama game I went to an event that I had agree to go to so could not just skip out. Never talked football with the guy that invited me but he was a barner. He knew I was coming over after the game and made some snide comment about rooting for a loser referring to Bama. They just do stupid stuff like that which just shows their envy and stupidity but they act like they are equivalent to Bama and truly believe it. Delusional at their core...

Like most in AL, I've spent a lot of time around auburn fans... some know I lived in auburn for several years. For whatever reason, in my experiences anyway, the die hard auburn women fans are much more obnoxious than the men. Yes, the guys can be bad, can be irritating, but deep down most of them know their place. The women seem to have no clue as to the hierarchy of things and believe the football world revolves around auburn. But basically anyone that talks about "family" or "creed" is under that weird umbrella.

Reference the Clampetts!

I moved to Mobile in 1971. I did not follow Bama or any other University at that time. I worked for Southern Airways and I remember Bama chartering a flight to Mobile, and I came fairly close physically to CPB, but I didn't care. In August '72 I transferred to Dulles and I was not around for the '72 season. I transferred back to Mobile in March of '73. It was at that time I decided if I was going to make Mobile, Alabama my home, I just as well join in on the fanaticism of UA/*u Football, but which one? It was not a hard decision. 1, Red is my favorite color. 2, I did really like and respect CPB. 3, I saw all of the 'Punt, Bama, Punt, bumper stickers which struck me as classless, and that was the squaw that stroked the camel's sack (Thank you, Kelly Bundy ;)). And that's the way it's been ever since. And it's been a great decision on my part. And I want to thank all of the fans on this site for enabling me to understand what Bama Football is about. You guys are great. I'm still ignorant as to what you guys have experienced and what you know. I now know what you guys know...*U still sucks.

ROLL TIDE!

That is the one thing that cuts in moving back to Bama full time - all the auburn fans. In and around Atlanta, there are many, but the college football landscape is far more diluted. My primary buddies in my neighborhood are Iowa, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Ohio State fans, along with pro followers from Boston, Pittsburgh and NY (Jets and Mets, unlucky guy, but he's an Army fan, too). Its a mishmash of yankee and southern relocations. Living in Alabama, you know there is an infestation of auburn fans, and you live with it. I'm having to learn to live with it again.

I agree the women are worse.
