When we're "hot," our turnovers are the only thing that keeps teams in the game against us.
This is the only caveat with the Oats system. As good as his offense is, it is plagued with turnovers. Understandibly, it comes with momentum swings in basketball and playing fast - which leads to more possessions - but there are way too many unforced errors that give the other team life. It's the reason Memphis was able to close the gap every time Alabama looked like they were going to break open the game.

Eh, it's not their game to take shots from beyond the arc. They're 334th in the country in 3PA. They only took 11 shots from outside vs Auburn. We played pretty tight D from the perimeter, so even their shots they took were going to be low %.
The thing is Auburn didn't shoot well either. Last night Alabama went 10-27 on 3's. This was the game for Memphis to try and connect on 3's.. it just didn't fall though. Davis for Memphis was more aggressive in 2nd half going to the basket. Without him, Memphis lose by 10 or more points. Their next game is against TAMU, now this is something to watch. Memphis should be able to control the boards and attack them to the basket. Gameplan in 2nd half should be similar to what they did against Bama.

Gonzaga is not a joke. They have three losses to a ranked team but had a ranked win over Kentucky. But you can't overlook them at all.

Turnover.. JQ is largely the reason behind that. He just need to settle down.. let offense come to him.

Every system has its weakness, it’s just a question of how stubborn the coach is to their method, and if they can recruit effectively to quiet the naysayers.

I agree. And for what it's worth, I believe Alabama responded only turning it over three times against Houston after being down 14. I'm actually relieved we finally have a coach who has a system and is stubborn to not change it. It took a year for it to truly come together.
Your use of statistics is your second-best skill.
I'm not sure if this is a shot at me or not.

Sorry, it was more a shot in the dark than a shot at you. I was going to say, from Wooly, that your best skill was peeing in the shower…I may be wrong, way off, just kicking up dust. My memory simultaneously amazes and stupefies me.

This teams weaknesses are FT shooting and Turnovers. You hope both of those approve as the season goes on. They will still on occasion have issues in both of these areas, there ability to go inside for higher percentage points and playing high leve D will be the difference in a Win and a Loss. I do think the D took a hit with Burnett going out. Sorry but Miles may have a game or two with success but he will mostly be the weak link. Hope he proves me wrong.

Is anyone going to the game tomorrow? Or has anyone gone to a game at the BJCC before? I'm not sure where the best place to park.
They lost a good bit of open air parking to the UAB football stadium, but there are still open air lots west of the complex along 19th street, which puts you away from most of the restaurant/bars, but it's easy in/out. The 22nd street parking deck is a little walk, but you have hamster runs to get you all the way there. I wouldn't park there if you have a larger truck. There are also limited open air lots near there near the Uptown bars.

Thank you. I'll being making the trip from Huntsville, so I'll try to get there early. 22nd street it is.

Freaking tickets are high as Hell! Just getting inside is $75 and lower bowl area behind BAMA bench is $470+!!! As @It Takes Eleven said, UAB’s new stadium took a good bit of parking. Still a few parking decks nearby.
Yeah they're pretty expensive now. I was lucky to grab two right at $55 after we beat Memphis. I see now the cheapest is $99

If you're planning on going to any games at Coleman or away for cheap, I would buy now. Alabama-Arkansas and Alabama-Kentucky (both Saturday games) are already in the 60s and increasing. The one that is very cheap right now and will likely be a big game is Alabama-Mississippi State in Coleman on a Wednesday night. With how State is playing, that's likely going to be a big conference matchup at home. LSU also is on a Saturday, and you can get fairly good seats for $40-$60. It's good to get them now, because if you cannot go - or want to resell them - they'll be of higher value. I'm in a basketball group on Twitter and people are always looking for tickets.

I'm planning on going to the Vanderbilt game in Nashville, since tickets are only in the 20s.
