I'll take the win. Couple of stats that stood out... Memphis made their only 3 of the night with less than 1 second to play (1-12 overall). Memphis scored 54 points in the paint. Oof.
And their guards made a lot of those shots in the paint. Crazy game. They hit 1 or 2 threes and it’s a different game. We’ve been on the shooting end of those nights.

Hate to hear about Burnet being out for several weeks with a wrist injury, This team is better especially defensively with him on the court. Oats has a lot of options with this team, he can go small but still have an inside presence. Great to see Miller come of of his slump otherwise this could have been a loss. Almost was anyway with that Davis kid for Memphis. Still no idea how they can let a mostly one man team score that many points. I will say I was not impressed with the D tonight. They just couldn't stop the one kid no matter what they did.

When I turned it on and saw Myles on the court was was like wll crap this will be a loss. Hope he improves and contributes in a meaningful way but he is just not as talented as the other kids on the roster.

He had a lot of PT in the second half. Looks like he's going to be Oats's go-to with this new depth issue.

So what's going on with Pringle? Did he see the court last night?

Miles played pretty well last night. He hit a 3 and had 5 boards in almost 14 minutes. If he can just give us that, he can be a plus for us until Burnett gets back. Good to get the W against a quality opponent. I think Lunardi has Memphis as a 4/5 seed come March.

To echo @Justneedme81 , Memphis is a solid ball club. They are big and physical. While we all probably want a cleaner game, know the opponent was formidable, quick, and athletic. No excuses, but not like we just played an Division II team. They did just smoke Auburn after all.

We started off slow, but it was great to see the hustle and more than just Bediako around the rim unlike last year. If Sears and Miller can both stay healthy and steady, we are going to be a force to be reckon with on a national level. Although that is clearly evident after the Michigan State, North Carolina, Houston, and Memphis wins.

Eh, it's not their game to take shots from beyond the arc. They're 334th in the country in 3PA. They only took 11 shots from outside vs Auburn. We played pretty tight D from the perimeter, so even their shots they took were going to be low %.
