šŸ€ No. 10/7 Alabama Suffers First SEC Loss, Falling at No. 18/17 Missouri, 68-65

When Mizzou came into the conference one program I expected to do well was their men's basketball program. If you don't remember, they'd been to the dance four years in a row, including an Elite Eight appearance, the four years before entering the SEC.

Bama's been struggling over the last few years, right? Can you see how this blurb from SI caught my eye and shocked me a bit?

This will only be the 17th meeting between these two schools. Alabama leads the series all-time with a record of 11-5. The Crimson Tide is 3-3 all-time on the road in Columbia. Overall, Alabama has won seven of the 11 meetings since Missouri joined the SEC dating back to Jan. 8, 2013.

I expected more of a .500 tilt.

CNO needs to have the guys tuned in and ready to go from the tip in the morning. We don't need a sluggish start like we had at OU. Mizzou does a pretty good job on defending the 3, so we need to tighten up our jockstraps and make those inside shots, get to the FT line and make them, and play our defense.

Well they are that in Columbia. Need to be 4-3 after this weekend. To be a real contender they need to win these type of games.

How big of a game is this for us? The LSU Florida game carries some weight this weekend.
While not technically a win would essentially give the Tide a five game lead with seven to play. They have the tiebreakers with all of the four loss teams sans Arkansas (two and a half weeks away.)

As far as playing Arkansas is concerned they'd have to beat Bama by 31 to be tied.

They already are a real contender.
Keep showing it on the court until no on else is standing. Maybe poorly worded but showing it means going into Norman Oklahoma and winning the same with Mizzou. I am not talking about just making the tournament, if you get a #1/#2 seed much more is expected thus the real contender comment.

$60 cover getting into Rounders last night.

I know BB has a "watch party" going on today for the game. I'd love to see what cover(s) are being charged today around T-town.

Effort on the D is going to have to pick it up to get them back in this game. Pretty sloppy. Waaaaay to many turnovers simply dribbling, getting the ball inbound and free throws. Been a turnover machine. But hey they are a #1 seed just like a win over Duke in football is a quality win.

Pathetic half of Basketball.
