One of Alabama’s reserve defensive backs is no longer with the football program.

Nigel Knott, who hadn’t practiced with the team since the spring because of an undisclosed medical situation, has been medically disqualified, according to coach Nick Saban.

It’s unclear when — or if — Hunter Brannon will return to the Alabama football team.

The redshirt sophomore offensive lineman is dealing with “medical issues” and hasn’t been cleared to return to football, according to coach Nick Saban.

“What the future holds for him is still sort of a question mark, whether he’ll be able to come back and play or not,” Saban said. "So we just have to wait and see how that works out.”

Knott was one I had watched for a while. I always thought he would be successful in the UA scheme. Really hate it for him

I hate that. I remember one of Knott's recruitment hype videos showed him doing a platform jump. Kid had some serious vert.
