🏈 Nick Saban was FULL OF ANECDOTES on The Pat McAfee Show (Textbooks come up.)

Do share. The way Saban was talking, It sounds like it was a message he's putting out there for the players. He may not be the coach, but I feel like he had conversation with Ryan couple time. Something tells me that someone is going to have a big game.
I'm theorizing...

His mind is faster than his body allows. He's seeing the play before the ball gets there. It's mental processing.

We can't simply dismiss the kid is 18. Did this season mark a point where the "sophomore slump" doesn't exist any longer?

Here's a question. When he pulled the spin move on UGA last season, were his eyes on the ball or his next step?

As long as Brooks and Bernard stay healthy........we will be good at receiver. I hope Williams can get his $hit together and live up to the hype. He has too many drops to suite me. You're a damn receiver. Catch the freakin' ball.

So basically he's playing too fast. He just need to play within himself.

He was only 17 then.

It sorta hit me playing 3 on 3 the other day. I was posted left wing and the guy just wasn't covering. I got a little hot...he never stepped back so I stopped looking at the ball. I was just redirecting it with my right hand, bounce, shoot.

I don't know...just hit me. He's moving before the ball gets there and that's been mentioned as "looking the ball in" when he's seeing the play?

Just random thoughts...

I gotta feeling he's going to "show out" again.

IF I saw a prop with 75+ for him today I'd take the wager.

And the mindset the team had in the past I would say that is the kiss of death for Vandy. The verdict is still out on CKD coached teams due to the inconsistent play. Even if they do bury Vandy I still will say show me on a consistent basis. If it helps I am seeing movement in the right direction with the mindset I am seeing but seen enough swings up and down under CKD to say tap the brakes and wait and see.

JMO #2 at the point of looking the ball into his hands, he takes a peak instead of giving full concentration on locking in on the ball. This happens almost every attempt. I assume this is something he has gotten away with in high school where perhaps the DB's coverage hasn't been as tight as college. With that said, the coaches either don't see it, or they can't get it corrected. Neither is good. His headgear turns just a little at the most critical point which means his eyes/neck are looking away.

@TerryP, “show out”, a kin to Jim Mora saying “the payoffs”. He doesn’t have to show out, just catch the ball…..
As a fan, I'll take yesterday's results. Every Saturday.

I still believe we'll see a game where he "shows out." I'm also of the opinion the offense hasn't quite found its footing.

Will be satisfied if he just “shows up”
I haven't looked at his target rate for yesterday.

I think it might have been JPW. I can't recall for certain. I remember fans complaining, a lot, about a QB who couldn't complete the deep ball. The idea that he was still stretching the defense seemed foreign to them.

Even if Ryan is struggling he has every DC's attention.

I've seen too many good WR's have a year where they were just growing up. That's my gut feeling here. (GMac made me laugh a bit talking about Julio's drops.)
