I have to wonder about the future of the Big East. West Virginia is gone. TCU backed out. And in a year or two, Pittsburgh and Syracuse will be playing in the ACC. Not to mention, Louisville now wants out.

Before you joined, we had several discussion about the time the Big 12- SEC agreement was put in place. One of the things mentioned was this was a move where the voices of the ACC and the Big East would be irrelevant.

Their death knell started years ago ('81-'82) when they had the opportunity to include Penn State but they chose to focus more on basketball with the addition of Pitt. Within the last few years, they've continued to add basketball schools with little attention paid to the football programs.
