ESPN sports business reporter Darren Rovell shared some uniform news concerning Alabama and the other three College Football Playoff teams via his Twitter account and a story on ESPN.com. While the Crimson Tide isn't wearing alternate uniforms like Oregon and Ohio State, its players' jerseys will feature a small change.
Rovell announced the Nike swoosh on each team's jersey will be a diamond swoosh. Nike says, according to Rovell, the diamond swoosh symbolizes the teams' goal of obtaining a diamond championship ring.
Alabama's jerseys and helmets won't be different, but its base layer shirts are getting an update. Check out the tweet below to see the base layer, which is an elephant skin-like pattern made up of quotes.
Rovell also shared that the players' cleats will be playoff-game specific and made from recycled plastic bottles.
