It all depends on who we lose to and how badly, but honestly at this point I don't see that happening unless we start getting plagued with injuries to key personnel.

What makes me chuckle is the fact that Auburn is undefeated and still has not cracked the Top 25. The Irrelevancy Factor on the Plains rears its ugly head once again. :lol:

Auburn needs to learn some things from Bama...like defense, for one. If Auburn wouldn't have allowed Ball State to score 30 on them, then i think the Tigers would be ranked.

Yes, the day after Bama beats Florida in the SECCG to remain undefeated.

#1 Texas and #2 Alabama would then square off for the NC.

Anything is possible when it comes to people voting on things.

If it makes you feel any better, Texas seems to be good for at least one loss or scare a year, though.

Sure it is possible but not all that probable.

To me the only relevant issue is that 'Bama controls its own destiny. Unlike, AU of '04 where they didn't play 1 or 2. 'Bama will either play UF in the SECCG or UF will lose (then 'Bama plays someone else), but in either case 'Bama has to take care of business THEMSELVES.

That is an empowering issue & is the only issue that is relevant to the polls, IMHO. Who we are now or next week or whatever has no relevance to the weekly performance of this team. If they don't take care of business then no dice. If they do well it is all gravy & I wouldn't have it any other way. :hyper:

When the BCS polls come out, I would not be surprised to see us ranked 1 or 2 considering our strength of schedule. Our VT win was huge.......and we play Ole Miss and LSU. Both of whom are/were in the top 10.

They must also face OSU in Stillwater and a top-twenty ranked Kansas. I don't think the Baylor game will be a walk over in Waco, either.

It all depends on what the Harris poll looks like. The computers should favor Bama over TX after LSU and VT.
