🏈 New Endzones? (Not an offseason thread)

I wonder if that will be the norm for the upcoming season. I know last year they had the grass cut really funky like a swirl pattern. I wonder if this is keeping with A-day tradition and doing something out of the norm. I really like it though. I hope they stick with it.

On a side note. They have the scoreboard/jumbotron/and speakers down from the south endzone. I wonder what they will do for audio on Saturday. I'm sure they have it taken care of, but it makes me go.....:headscratch:

On a side note to the side note, I'm glad they will do something about the audio now. It has been pretty crappy ever since they re-modeled the north endzone. They never did anything to replace the speakers they took down to do the addition. Now they have no choice. Hopefully the new audio system will be a little less muffled.

If you pinch Ramp Lady's butt just a little harder she should be able to get the play by play to you all the in the south endzone. I know her vocals were designed for 75,000, but I bet she can do it.

Hopefully the new audio system will be a little less muffled.

Its going to be awesome.

I know it's on astectis but i wish they would do something about the side walk between the fence and bleachers. Nothing to much just something to update it and spruce it up.

I hadn't paid much attention to it before but in that pic it just kinda sorta jumped out at me and grabbed my attention.

I knwo this probally sounds dumb, but I'd like them to make the endzones houndstooth pattern or the 50 yard logo houndstooth with a script A.

Add LBS to the list of those who like the endzones. LBS wonders if the grass in the endzone might have a hard time surviving the season being painted red.

RE the fence. I would like to see a solid wall built instead of the chainlinked fence, and have ivy growing on the wall and the one against the stands. Ivy would be cool...and unique...fitting somehow.

RE the Hounds tooth. The trouble with hounds tooth is that it is easy to have too much of it. I played around with the houndstooth endzones idea a few years back and the graphic looked bad frankly...like not even close to passing bad.

Houndstooth endzones would not look good....replacing the wihte background on the midfield logo with it would though....

I just noticed that the far endzone says Crimson Tide instead of Alabama & they brought back the old-school slanted font!

I agree! I think I like this better than anything I have seen at Bryant Denny. It's a crisp look.

I have a really stupid question:

I keep noticing that durring games....on the side lines there is always the big peice of white tarp laid on the sidelines with Circles and numbers on it. kinda looks like some odd ball vertion of the mat you play twister on.

What is that and what's it for???
