This lack of sacks, finally caught up with us. Garcia was comfortable all day except for his poor judgement intentional safety.

Where are you Marcel? We need you to step it up a notch. How about ya Dont'a? Same for you. We need the older players to set a tone - smashmouth.

We have alot of youth on the D - I think Kirby calling conservative games only gives the opposing teams more time per play to expose our guys. We need to step up the pressure and take some risks - including run blitzes. There's alot of talent but inexperience.

IMHO the best way to optimize talent and minimize the liability of inexperience is to attack, attack, attack. Let these guys be athletes and turn them loose. If we want the SECCG and a run at the NCG, we are going to have quit playing to avoid mistakes and start playing to attack and win.

How many 3rd and longs did they convert? It's because we were laying back and trying to handle it via coverage. Ain't gonna work with the young guys.

Trust me Saban isn't laughing. I've spent enough time with him to know he is absolutely not laughing. Practice will be hell from here on out.

That is ridiculous and even irresponsible to spread around.

Can we get back on topic with this thread? It was about stepping up the pressure on D to help our young guys.

Seems like when we do bring the house we overshoot the QB. I've noticed that several times this season. We'll be on a QB and simply run past him!

Yeah, we deffinitely brought no pressure yesterday. They converted 4 4th and longs on one drive. It was redunkulous! When it would get to 3rd down, my wife would say, wel. here comes a big play for SC. We were calling Garcia Peyton Manning. All the SC folks around me were amazed at the way he was playing, until he did that crazy saftey debacle. But we brought zero pressure, period. You can't beat a team that has a good QB with no pressure. FWIW, I couldn't believe Garcia only had 200 yards passing. Did I read that wrong on Fox? Five TD scoring drives where he was passing quite a bit and only 200 yards? Guess it helps that he wasn't sacked 7-10 times.
