🏈 NCAA Basketball attendance report...its gonna surprise some of ya.

Wow. I am surprised. And Bama's not really that far behind many of those around the top 15 to 20. I attended a Tennessee game and helped their attendance, but it was to see the Tide. Still surprised they are in the top ten. And agreed on "what if Bama was good". I'm trying my best to not give up on them, but I just don't see them going far if they ever make the dance again. I hope like crazy I look like a big idiot for saying it, but there it is.

Riz, Coleman holds a tad over 15k. Just think how empty BDS would look if only 75k were on hand.

I think Grant has re-emergized our fan base. Even the students were losing interest the last few years under XCMG. I doubt they averaged much over 9k his last year.

It was bad at times. I mean it was nearly empty versus Auburn at home, something I have not seen since 08.

The attendance caught back up though when we got in the NIT and from what I heard and what everyone said, Coleman was rocking. A lot of us have different opinions on Grant, so we question whether or not to attend the games. He has my full support, and is putting together a solid class right now (6th in the nation). But we all just hate his offensive style. Even teams that absolutely are horrible, but can light it up, their attendance is higher because they like to see a shootout. No one likes to watch a team struggle to get to 50 every game, so less attendance.

Students need to buy into Grant more though. We went undefeated at home in SEC play, and only loss about what? 3 games at home (correct me if I'm wrong). The schedule this year is much harder, but that doesn't mean we won't win a few games. Coleman has a rocking atmosphere when Alabama gets on a run, and the students do a good job at leading the crowd. I think Grant will get us to the NCAA this year, maybe a bubble team, but we need to start competing with elite teams soon.
