The Tigers are thought to lead for the 6-foot-1, 226-pound back from St. Augustine High in New Orleans, a consensus five-star prospect who ran for 2,136 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2012, but he has always claimed he has no favorite. St. Augustine assistant coach Adrian Burnette told 247Sports he believes it's "50/50" between LSU and Alabama.
Fournette, who is ranked as the top prospect in the nation by ESPN and Scout.com and No. 2 by 247Sports, set no specific dates for his official visits, but he does know one other day he plans to be in Tuscaloosa.
"I think I will be at the Alabama versus LSU game Nov. 9," he told 247Sports, "but that will most likely be an unofficial visit."
