not far from where I spent the second half of my life, either. Moved from Philly to SJ around age 12-13, lived in Camden County.
Rick, I love that drive from downtown Wedowee east on I believe 48 (turns into GA 100 I think). Rolling hills, pastureland, I'd love to buy some land some day off 48 or County 87.
Sandusky, AL - my great grandfather was a coal miner out Hwy 78 from Bham in Sandusky. His five daughters (one my Granny) were indeed coal miner's daughters.
Just make sure it close to Woodland, because if it near Wedowee your tax will be higher just because of the Harris(Wedowee)Dam. Next time you in the area call me (334-338-5342).

Will do. I love that whole area around Wedowee. Randolph and Clay Counties are on my short list for land. Looked at some property down at Cragford, below that down in Millerville, but the more north you go (like up in Delta) you can get over the ridge down in Oxford for good food and shopping.
