I'd say from a raw talent perspective he was also the most talented QB we've ever had when you analyze his throwing mechanics. That dude would flip his wrist and the ball would fly 50 yards in no time.

A few guys that I work with called Brodie Glass Joe from the boxing game from the 80’s and some times they would call him Chris Chandler ( the old falcons QB who was great but oh so fragile ).......

Brodie's main problem was Chris Capps. I think Broide was plenty tough, but damn, a man can only take so many hits from an unblocked rusher.

I met Tyrone before he ever took the field for Bama. When he was still at Cleburne County High. I was there doing some IT work and they assigned him as a helper for me that day. He was very nice and pretty inquisitive about the work I was doing(installing WIFI Access Points). I did not really keep up with recruiting back then, still don't that much. It was a few months later when I heard he commuted to BAMA. Was in the stadium that day, I think my heart broke more than the average fan.

I believe a lot of coaches can attest to this - Most regrets come from not being more disciplined. CNS was right, but let his love for that kid influence his (correct) instinct.

I had no takers to my question from the other side...who would NOT have had their time in the spotlight if they hadn't been hurt? There was this fullback who had a severe head injury and had to change positions, went on be an All-American and NFL standout in his new position...
