🏈 My gameplan for the Gators

Offensive gameplan. Real simple here. Line up Richardson, Ingram, Upchurch, whoever, in I-Formations. Two at a time. Alternate handing the ball off. They can't focus on any one runner that way. When they crowd the line to stop the run, or blitz, throw the screen pass underneath to Jones or one of the backs. When they back off, go back to running.

Defensive gameplan. More complex, but still man-to-man in nature. A spy for #15 in McClain. Little blitzes from anyone other than the Jack linebacker. When Florida is forced into 3rd and long situations, blitz McClain as well. The secondary needs to stay with their coverage assignment. No DB blitz packages, unless we get up by 2 scores or more. Give 'em all the Mount Cody they can stand, and then give 'em a little more.

we have to complete a pass to someone other than Julio... did we complete a pass to any other WR besides Julio during the Iron Bowl - not that I can recall.

we need to go deep, you can bet that Florida will put 8 in to stop our run. If we can't go deep (which we didn't do vs Auburn), it will be tough.

Peek, though a TE, was very effective vs. Auburn. I believe he will be a critical factor. You're right to a certain degree about Julio but he still needs to get his touches.

I am still baffled by Ingram's performance. Other teams have keyed in on him as well. He just looked out of sorts with no real spark and poor decision-making. TR is an awesome back and can more than pick up the slack if MI is still slumping. Our O-Line is going to need to step it up as well.

We have played several spread/gimmick offenses in the last few games and that should be a good primer for UF. I really hope they don't get conservative. We need to attack on both sides of the ball. Play to win, don't play to not lose!

In the end, though, thank heavens there are people FAR smarter than any of us devising that game plan!

I think what we did against VT works here, offensively and defensivly.

Id expect alot of man to take away the triple option they have coupled with one LB exclusively on Tebow, except when we corner blitz.

Can Javier take down Tebow? Yea, aside from McClain, hes the surest thing on a tackle in the backfield.

Offensively, just sustain blocks and play our game.

This game is biig, but I am not a doubter on this, I expect a win. I think we are the best team in the nation. There is so much going for us in this game as opposed to last year.

somehow I forgot about the single pass to Hanks. We need to use the other WR's on the field was my point.

@'65 Cobra, agree with you about people way smarter than us, I just sometimes question it during the game :)

I think abandoning the DB blitz package would be a bad idea, dont get away from what brought u to the dance. Ro will likely be Jesus' spy tho. For god's sake stop that damn dive play and the shovel pass to Hernandez. I think G-Mac is the X-Factor in this game. They will OBVIOUSLY stack the line and try and stop the run game and I expect a ton of blitzes. He's going to have to get the ball out of his hand quickly and use great judgment. Screens will be our best friend whether its the WR screen to Julio or Maze or its the screen to the backs. I fully expect to see Ingram throw out of the Wildcat too.

Peek was wide open a few times on the last drive. One was easy another td. We had the TE on an iso a few time and did not take advantage. Healthy dose of under short but we have to stretch the field to win. Short stuff wont work all day against Fla.

I am just sick of seeing the Tebow dive play. But like BAMAFSTBACK said, I think if we take Cooper and Hernandez out of the game, our chances of winning go way up. Do you think we will put a spy on Tebow? Or has that been done before and not worked?

I am ready for Big_Fan's trickle down economics for this week. This one has me turning circles looking for awnsers.

I would go out on a limb and say that Ro spies Tebow the majority of the game.
