@TerryP has mentioned that on here before. Says that is a big piece of Courtney Morgan's job is building those type relationships.
You have always heard this in recruiting, but I would imagine in this day of NIL it is more important than ever. You create a sense of obligation and trust so that when other suitors come calling with money in hand that you (as the kid) would feel like you were letting your father down by making a bad decision. I have heard guys talk that played for Bear and that was the sense they felt playing and even coaches said it coaching for him.
