How many of you guys are a little shocked at Osbourne with zero titles in his first 20 years?

Kept playing slow white guys at corner and LB. Always beat teams he should have beat but Florida State and Miami took turns exposing those weaknesses. Finally overcame his stubbornness and listened to Bobby Bowden. The rest is history, including a monumental beatdown of Steve Spurrier.

Not bad company! I was a little surprised at Osborne having 0 titles during that span, but I do recall him playing for a couple during that time and even losing one on a failed 2pt conversion against Miami if memory serves me correctly.
During that same time span, Joe Pa played for a couple of more and lost, BAMA and UGA in the Sugar Bowls.

You know he had a couple of years he had a perfect year. But because, at the time Penn St was a Independent his team was left out. But this was the early '70 too.
