OMG! Just noticed something in the 1956 OU season. They beat the 2-8 team that had the Heisman winner40-0 the week before they played the ONLY team with a winning record they faced that year.
The Colorado team only played two teams with winning records that season: OU to whom they lost and Clemson (7-2-2) that season. They tied a four win Missouri team and lost to a four win Oregon team.
