1. Lots of Vol fans here in middle Tennessee are as excited about the daddy as they are the son. At Bama we learned the hard way about getting too excited about young coaches who had no experience but had daddies who were famous in the NFL.
2. After the Chizik debacle, I didn't think the week could get any better, but news that Orgeron may still be in the picture in Knoxville is too good to be true. During his three years, in spite of the high rankings of his recruiting classes by Rivals, Orgeron had 20 kids either not qualify for admission or get kicked out or kicked off the team once they got to Oxford. At least five different coaches turned the Ogre in for suspected recruiting violations. Ball Coach already has the Vol program under his microscope; if Orgeron goes to Knoxville, look for Spurrier to make sure that the NCAA proctologists are checking every Vol orifice on a regular basis. Combine this with the fact that, considering that Ogre is allegedly a defensive guru, his Ole Miss teams had the worst defense in the conference. I wouldn't want Orgeron anywhere near my football team.
Could the week possible get any better?
