šŸ“” Missouri’s football, baseball, and softball programs slapped with 1-year postseason ban (2019 season)

This is the perfect storm for Kelly. He can play lights out and not have to worry about getting injured or looking bad for sitting out, a "meaningless" post season bowl. He gets extra brownie points for sticking it out, and not leaving another program.

One self reported/ cooperated with the investigation , one fought it and denied. Guess who came out better.

Those of us who can remember the dark ages of Bama football can remember seeing this play out before. With the NCAA it doesn’t pay to be honest.

Much tougher penalty than UNC suffered for, as I understand it, basically the same charge although the academic fraud occurred over a longer period of time.
There's another side of that which catches my attention:

The tutor has received a 10-year show-cause order from the NCAA, and any school employing the tutor is to restrict her from athletic-related duties.

A 10 year show cause...same penalty we saw Dave Bliss receive and he tried to frame a murdered player of his as a drug dealer, among other things.

Obviously, not all academic cheating is created equal. UNC has the foresight to allow all students in on courses that were nothing much more than dummy classes. Remember kids, as long as everyone has an equal opportunity to cheat the NCAA is good to go.

So....do we see Kelly leaving now?....AU here is your 2019 QB!

He did say he was staying. To be fair, I can't imagine he chose Mizzou believing they had any chance for postseason glory to start with. 12 games might be all he wants and then he can concentrate on the combines. To me, Jalen always felt like he wanted to win on the level he has enjoyed here. Oklahoma was no surprise to me.

@TUSKtimes .... he said that...but really, why?
He doesn’t owe Missouri anything....
AU is really a match for him... and could be a competitive team in sec w next year..
with out an experienced QB...probably not... and Nix doesn’t fit AUs style of play..
And unless, Missouri wins challenge to penalties...for a year....postponed til 2020..
And if they don’t....its Missouri benefit to build for future...with young QB
Unless ...as you say....he aint in it for postseason glory...hard to imagine though..

The cool thing is he can leave anytime he wants without penalty. I don't think I would want to personally invest in spring ball and go through all that. It would make more sense that whatever he does he does it now. From a competitive point of view, the barn was always the better choice to win games.
