🏈 Mid-season NCAA review: Pick three teams, your good, bad, and ugly so far.

Good: I have to hand this one to Iowa State. We owe them a little love from '11 and they definitely deserve a hat-tip for the last two weeks.

Bad: FSU, no doubt. I don't believe they are losing this much simply due to their QB being injured. The teams' psyche is damaged in a manner I don't think they can fix. FSU missing a bowl game? It's a definite possibility.

Ugly: I'm stepping out of the box a little here but my ugly isn't going to a team, it's going to the polls. IE: I realize Miami isn't winning pretty, but that's no reason to have teams with a loss ranked above them. Another...if Clemson deserves to be ranked higher than Miami, why isn't Notre Dame?

Good: Penn State with their QB and RB. I know they lost but they played one heck of a game yesterday.
Bad: USC. I know we talked about their schedule and no off-weeks but I certainly didn't see them playing this badly with that much talent. Is it a lack of talent on the sidelines/coaching staff? I am beginning to believe that's the case.
Ugly: Michigan State. Since that 2015 semi-final game Dantonio's teams just haven't looked the same.

Good: Penn State. I hope we get the home and home series renewed.

Bad: TCU losing. And it was no fluke, Iowa State out played them. Several of my wife's cousins live near TCU and are heartbroken now. We were hoping for a Bama -TCU game in the playoffs.

Ugly: Louisville defense. I love to see Bobby Petrino's teams struggle.

Good: Penn. St, like @Bamabww said I too hope to get a home and home series!

Bad: TCU with turnover, penalties, that was a bad game for them. But Iowa St. came to play and hats off to them.

Ugly: Wash. St. it look like old Mike had it going till he met up with Arizona and California.

Good: There are a lot of people banging on Wisconsin due to their schedule but I see some good there. They are beating the teams they are supposed to and are doing it how they are supposed to.
Bad: UNC. Chiz had a decent defense there last season finishing about middle of the pack in total defense. This year they are real close to the bottom.
Ugly: Michigan and all those on their bandwagon in the pre-season.

Best non-SEC teams I've seen so far to me is Penn State, Ohio State, Wisky and surprisingly Miami. I want to say Clemson but I honestly think they may lose two more and Louisville's defense is just so awful. Oklahoma is kind of jekyl and hyde right now too.

I was impressed with penn state to start the game .

but as it got towards the end of the game, It was pretty clear they didn’t have enough horses to compete for 4 quarters with a deep top notch team .

Ohio almost dug themselves in a hole they couldn’t get out of .

OSU completely shut Barkley down in the second half. Offense (special teams too) runs completely through him.

Good-jumping on the Iowa State bandwagon, a very pleasant surprise.

Bad-Brigham Young, the pass happy Mormons have had a horrible time on offense.

Ugly-Florida Star after losing their QB for the year in the season opener.

Good- I agree with @TerryP and say Iowa State. They have been a joke in the Big 12 much like Kansas. This year though, they are sitting 6-2 and at the top of the Big 12 standings!! Kudos Cyclones!!

Bad- UNC and Larry Fedora. Just 2 years removed from an onside kick and possibly winning the ACC over Clemson. This bunch is a train wreck!

Ugly- Can it get much uglier than Jimbo Fisher and the F$U Criminoles?? Jimbo has been known for QB development, but WTH has he done to the Blackmon kid? Francios went down and they folded up the tents! How the frick do you get boatraced by Boston College??

Good: Iowa State. It's not CFP worthy, but knocking off two top 5 teams so far this year for ISU is remarkable.
Bad: Michigan. Where'd they go?
Ugly: Florida State. Who did they beat?
