I just don't understand why a school goes outside their school colors for a uniform. I know that kids and recruits like them, but why have school colors at all? Every school might as well have a damn pin wheel or a Sherwin Williams color chart!!

The key is the kids and recruits like them. And since it's the kids that are the key to college sports doing things every so often that they like is good.

EXACTLY! We don't need gimmicks. I wasn't crazy about the Houndstooth on the collar several years ago or even the faded Houndstooth in the numerals.

Well when you just get of sanctions like Miami, need a boost to break the monotony of losing big games like Georgia, or just need some attention to boost your struggling brand like Maryland, you do these things. In the end, it doesn't really matter what we want, it's what brings the kids in and makes them happy. You're right, we don't change, and this post wasn't an excuse for every school, but it works for some. Personally I think those uniforms look pretty good.

My take on the uniforms is that I will never have an appetite for fashion when my team plays like crap. It has zero appeal to me b/c the game play means a 1000 times more. And my excitement for when they are stomping a mud hole dry in somebody will have zero bearing the uniform. Hell they could be playing in Big Al costumes, as long as they doing what they are supposed to do, who cares.

The biggest issue I have with the uniforms is the helmet. Miami should always wear white helmets.

As time goes on if this fad doesn't change..... decision makers will. Hopefully they still have enough 'old school'ers' programming. Got to respect the other teams like us that haven't gone down this avenue

It all boils down to the company that supplies the uniforms and that means $$$. Thankful that we only make very minor changes.
