šŸˆ Marquis Maze:Stop putting all the blame on the offensive & defensive coordinators

But a lot on here...point to.....
Bama is tops because of the history of development of players....
A lot of top quality players....alot of good development....
Players stick around...

Coaching or players....
BEAR always said..."i can take mine and beat yours....or...take yours and beat-mine" .... or credited with saying anyway...
In "The Wisdom of Southern Football", I believe they attributed it to Bum Phillips, speaking of Coach Bryant. I don't have my copy nearby, though.

Isn’t that the group that named Mullen the coach of the year last year?
I didn’t know they named a coach of the year but they do rank coaches. They’ve ranked Saban at the top every year I’ve seen the list come out including last season … but I may have missed a season or two. What I do know is their player grading evaluations are well respected in the industry.

I know it’s credited to Coach Bryant but I don’t think he actually said it. The quote comes from Bum Phillips … right?

Their Top 20 coaches in college football for 2021 has Mullen as 5th best behind CNS, Dabo, Smart and Riley. Some good coaches down the list but a notable absence of Ryan Day. Jimbo, Brian Kelly, Mack Brown, Lance Leipold, but no Day? I don’t understand where they come from on some of their material.

Well at least we can say with some certainty that the guys haven’t played a full 60 minute complete game all year. If we can get it rolling we can be very dangerous very quickly and that’s why we are still ranked where we are

That's the frustrating part for me. Hearing all of the talking heads and opposing fans running their mouths about the team. If these guys played even three quarters of disciplined football they would be National Champions. That's how far down I feel college football is this year. Our talent is unmatched from top to bottom, yet we're playing like we are on par with Michigan, Michigan State, Texas A&M, Baylor, and others on Tier 2.

No, still available.

Due to work and college I have not been able to watch hardly any games this year. Without reading any comments in this thread, are there a lot of Alabama fans that are:

  1. Complaining about an offense that scores 40 points a game, and calling for Bill O Brian to get shit canned?
  2. Complaining about Pete Golding (rightfully so at times)?
  3. Acting like the sky is falling while being 8-1 and losing your entire starting offense to the 1st round of the NFL draft?

I must disagree with Maze. We have too many number one recruiting classes to play with the incontinuity that I see with our team. That has to fall on the shoulders of the assistant coaches. The talent is there. Player development has to be suspect.
