šŸˆ Marlon Humphrey recruitment?

Marlon has now opted out of the track meet overseas. He will visit FSU on the 17th, BAMA on the 24th, MSU on the 26th, and UCLA on the 31st. Bobby said there wouldn't be any press conference to announce. Marlon would decide and call the coaches and that would be it.

With regards to Tony Brown and track & field.

Like I’ve said, 10.53 in the 100 is telling, no doubt fast, but there are lots of guys planning on playing football in the NCAA. Bracy went to FSU after running 10.02 in high school, to give you an idea of these speeds. Demps ran 10.02 as a junior at Florida and then later 9.98 I think.

But, Brown and Humphrey are hurdlers. These guys have loose hips. Their football speed may be just as good as guys who are faster in track. They’re obviously stronger in their upper bodies, needed in the hurdles and in the high school 300 hurdles which will be the 400 H in college.

I am soooo hopeful Bama gets these two guys – for the track team as much or more than the football team.

I wouldn't think too many advantages exist in track at UCLA. The SEC is where it's at in track, other than Oregon of course and the allure there is for distance runners. I'd be more worried about Florida and Florida State.
