Hoover defensive back Marlon Humphrey, the top college football prospect in the state of Alabama, was the only player in the state named to USA Today's preseason high school All-America team, released Friday.

Humphrey, whose father Bobby was a star running back at Alabama in the 1980s, is uncommitted and, while he's thought to be a strong Alabama lean, he has also visited Florida State and Mississippi State and is reportedly considering South Carolina.

He's rated as a five-star prospect by all four major recruiting services, and is listed as the top cornerback prospect in the nation by 247Sports, No. 3 by Rivals.com and ESPN and No. 4 by Scout. He's No. 1 on AL.com's A-List ranking of the state's top prospects and was named defensive MVP of the Rivals Five-Star Challenge in Chicago in June.
