It's unreal really.

I have "labored" through too many BAMA basketball seasons to take this era for granted. Mark is not perfect but he is awesome.

Also feels like it’s worth noting here… Sears had few total (and average turnovers per game) than fellow 1st teamer Braden Smith (Purdue).

He regressed some from last year and where expectations were, BUT the guy stayed in school, got an education, made a lot of money, and took this team to new heights. His play may drive us crazy in spots, but as a whole has brought a lot of W's to all of us, so with all that he is deserving of the title to me.

Maybe not the most talented, but absolutely one of those most important players in Alabama history and likely my favorite since he delivered us a F4.

A lot of Mark's issues this season probably stem from the fact that he played as the primary ball handler for the majority of the season. And you throw in the pressure of trying to match last season's productivity.

Again, he was forced to do so last season because Alabama lost Quinerly. This season, Alabama has two really good ball handlers in Philon and Holloway, so I think it was smart to allow Sears to play off ball more. Once that happened, he went on a tear like we saw last season.
