yikes, Barron already making a name for himself. the little bit i've seen of Tampa, this dude is terrorizing receivers.

I saw that, saw the other hit he put on him when he fumbled in the endzone and it got recovered for a TD...Mark is playing great so far in the NFL, the best so far out of all the Alabama rookies

You're right but I really think Upshaw will be the best in the long run. He's doing well and essentially using the same schemes he had at Bama. He's played pure OLB and has also put his hand on the ground as a rush end. He's learning a lot from Ray Lewis and Suggs.

But yes, right now Barron is killing it.

Completely agree, learning behind the best in Ray Lewis and John Harbaugh, one of the best defensive minded coaches in the league..

I did see Upshaw sneak out a speed sweep on New England for a big loss, good discipline..

Hightower ain't doing half-bad himself, and Trent would be killing it if he had any semblance of help on that Browns team.

But yeah, Mark is absolutely showing out in Tampa.

I hope Trent won't be worn out prematurely with that crappy line. The good thing say, as compared to the Earl Campbell and the Oilers, is that the Browns know they can't win running the ball, so that will keep his carries down to some degree.

RTR,

Tim

He was flagged on it, they claimed that him slamming RGIII was "unnecessary roughness." Had he done it to a RB or WR guaranteed the flag doesnt get thrown but he did it to one of the NFL's precious QBs.

NFL has become a protective bias QB league....If you sack Tom Brady and don't catch him while he's falling, you get flagged and fined...But if you hit Roethlisberger, its fine because he can take it...

Next year they just need to move to playing Madden so secure "player safety"

Yeah I've noticed that some, you can hit guys like Roethlisberger or Vick all day long late and it wont get called, but touch Brady a split second late (not even a hit) and its a flag, same for guys like Brees and Manning. I've always thought its the guys that are running QBs or perceived as more "mobile" that dont get the benefit of the doubt, but RGIII is def. getting it the treatment from the refs. Maybe its because hes seen as a golden boy, who knows.
