🏈 Manziel Going Pro

He can last but he's going to have to learn to avoid contact at that level. There will be a lot of eyes on Cleveland come draft time. The Texans ownership would love to trade down and get him but he isn't a fit for O'Brien so I don't see that happening. If Houston took at QB today it would likely be Bortles.

The thought, or question, crosses my mind with Manziel.

Can you guys think of a player that's elevated a school more than he's done for A&M in two short years?

Sure, a guy like Tebow had his impact but Florida was already winning. I'm pressed to think of a guy who has done more for a school than JM.

Thank goodness we don't have to chase him around all over the field the next two years. That bugger was one tough cookie to contain, catch or defend. I can't think of anyone who has done so much for team in such a short period of time than Maziel. BTW, Johnny, don't let the door hit your rear end on the way out of the SEC! I loved watching him play except when it was against us.

I think it was a combination of things, a perfect storm if you will.

TAMU has been waiting on the opportunity to get out from under Texas' shadow, move them into the SEC, throw in Johnny Manziel, add the Heisman, bigger stadium that was overfunded instantly.

...kaboom!

RGIII would probably be the closest.
