I was going to tuck this in the other thread Terry started about the stats from the game, but figured it might need its own thread. Anyways, worth the read for all the Manziel haters

Some good quotes from Phil Savage too, he even tweeted about his conversation with SI.

Maybe not for all 32, but it only takes 1. <a href="https://twitter.com/search?q=%23QBevolution&amp;src=hash">#QBevolution</a></p>&mdash; Phil Savage (@SeniorBowlPhil) <a href="https://twitter.com/SeniorBowlPhil/statuses/380087133647560704">September 17, 2013</a></blockquote>

I don't know when that article was put out but I have been thinking on the same subject. I don't think he would be a good NFL QB. In my opinion, he does not have enough meat on his bones. He can scramble like no one I have ever seen but he throws the ball up for whom ever can catch it sometimes when he gets pressured. He is a heck of a competitor but...I don't think he could survive a big hit, say from Suh or one of those type hitters.

If you don't think the Eagles are going to want him to carry a clipboard for Vick for 2 years then take over Kelly's offense, I think you're crazy.

Vick will probably be gone after this year, win or lose. And Barkley is the heir apparent. I don't see Chip taking a risk like that and blowing another pick on a QB. Plus, if Manziel keeps up his productivity, he will likely go in the top 10 picks and the Eagles probably won't finish worse than 8-8 or around there (yikes), so we'd have to trade up. I just don't see it happening. Chip knows we need big playmakers on D; we have the guys to score big points, we just need guys to play some defense.

Plus, the fact that our sports media hasn't even entertained the very idea of it speaks volumes. I guess you have to know em for that to make sense, but to me it makes sense haha.

I can see a team like the Raiders, Jags, or even Cowboys trying to snag him. We just don't need more QBs on this team lol.

Not in a chance in hell Reggie McKenzie would take a shot at him. We already have a much faster version of him anyways in Terrelle Pryor. If there is anyone on A&M we need, its that damn Mike Evans because we have no receivers whatsoever.

The Jags could take him...if they weren't in the run for Teddy Bridgewater. Manziell doesn't fit the offense, but a team like the Browns who could build around him would be very interesting. Its hard to tell which team he would fit, but my guess right if the draft were tomorrow, the one team that may snag him is Tampa Bay. I thought Josh Freeman was a good QB when he started, but lord has he just plummeted.

I don't know that he is a first rounder. His measurables plus lack of arm strength plus his off field issues could push him down more than some of you think.

His lack of size would normally make him a 3rd rounder at best. His creativity, however, could propel him into the 2nd. I don't think Brandon Weeden is the answer in Cleveland (actually as a Steelers' fan, he is definitely the answer in Cleveland!), nor do I think Jax is settled with their QBs. He could be an option for them; however, they are going to be drafting really, really early this year, and their needs surpass the want of a punk (yet a damn good football player) like Johnny Hancock.

He has a lot of measurables if you ask me. HUGE hands, size 15 shoes and hell he's only 6'0" to 6'1".

He displayed some pretty remarkable abilities to stand in the pocket and sling the ball while making some pretty impressive throws, for some reason, I don't think we thought he was gonna be able to make them. He made a few impressive throws and some pretty stupid ones.

Maybe its me, but he does appear to be able to handle pressure pretty well.

I think Russell Wilson destroyed any of the discrimination against shorter quarterbacks that was left over that Drew Brees hadnt already destroyed...

His technique would obviously be the biggest thing, on field wise, that coaches will losses any technique at times. The Tebow comparisons just dont hold up imo. Tebow's throwing motion was pathetic and if you have a throwing motion thats that long, you're doomed. His accuracy was about as piss poor as they come and at times his arm looked like a wet noodle. Manziel's accuracy is inconsistent but hes about a billion times ahead of Tebow, and I dont think anyone questions his arm strength at this point.
