The important thing is he got better as the game progressed. He also got better against what is a very good defense.

GMAC looked good and progressed really well as the game went on but he needs to keep the run as a last resort measure. I think he tucked the ball too quick instead of looking over some options. I know I am seeing everything through a television so him running it may have been the last resort. Overall he looked good and will progress really well through his career at Alabama.

Smelley was seen on a couple of plays standing in the hole not really doing much of anything. I'm sure he was looking for someone to block, but just didn't really get it done on a couple of occasions tonight. I was very disappointed at his performance tonight.

Anyone that taped the game can review that for themselves. I'd recommend checking out our initial drive for starters.

I was impressed with GMAC. He finished the game strong and led us to a great win against a really good defensive team. Like what was already said this wasn't no Charleston Southern or some cupcake warm up game for him.

Smelley wasn't effective at all. I reviewed parts of the game after getting it on DVR and there were several times where he was just standing there looking for something to do. God love you Argo, but after a 2 for 12 start, are you sure completed 11 Passes on 6 Attempts there after.

For a guy who's last full game was against Katy High School three years ago, McElroy did a really good job. I am glad that we have an offense that does not ask our QB to win the game for us though.
