Like all mock drafters, if they manage to get 20-25% right, they are doing really, really good. I would guess most years they don't hit that mark.

Leatherwood has had an unspectacular season according to the pundits. PFF’s scoring hasn’t been kind to him and I’ve heard a number of “experts” say he’s not a First Round NFL left or right tackle. In fact, they claim he’s shown to be more of an inside guy. They’ve talked about either his footwork, knee bend, lateral movement and athleticism or a combination of them ... but all have commented on his technique deficiencies. I agree it’s odd that he’s gone from top 10 left tackle pick to middle round guard. Now, I’ve noticed him whiffing on some blocks this season but his “deficiencies” haven’t popped off the screen to me. Perhaps Jones ability to move in the pocket has “protected” Leatherwood on a number of occasions. Of course, I’m not an expert or an NFL scout ... I’m just a passionate Bama fan.

Moses needs to come back another year if he wants a shot at being called in the First Round. Or maybe he could move back in if he has a phenomenal NC performance followed by a truly phenomenal combine? He certainly hasn’t looked the part of a First Round talent this season ... at least to me.

If these so called experts were remotely correct 10% of the time we'd have more than around four NFL teams have a chance at the title every year. These guys are paid handsomely and are worse than meteorologists with their predictions. Not saying they are wrong here, but the left tackle on the best team, a four year starter, I'm not buying the bad press. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees supposedly didn't have NFL arms, Russell Wilson didn't have the size, and Tom Brady's story is well known.

The draft needs for each team are fluid. Trades, injuries, social issues, personal issues all impact who gets drafted when and where. There is no way that Todd or Mel will ever get it “right.”
