Kirby should have known what was coming in BR with some of the near-death experiences we've had down there. LSU had the better gameplan and the hurry up really wore out their thin defensive line. Smart football from Ed O and the OC if you ask me. They weren't afraid to throw downfield and all those 4th down calls built some nice momentum and belief. And most of those calls it was very short yardage of the QB sneak variety, so it wasn't over the top wreckless like Kirby's fake field goal with 9 yards to gain for the first down. Aranda was taking Fromm's check-down stuff from him and without that he was left to make plays downfield, which didn't happen near enough.

In Mark Ritch's first 5 years, during the Dave Green/David Pollack era, Georgia was hell on wheels, but couldn't get past that one game nationally and of course didn't sustain the momentum in the long run. Kirby's teams really don't feel much different so far.
